The Ways to Work Vehicle Loan Program
Reducing unemployment and underemployment in our local communities requires finding innovative ways to help hard-working families overcome barriers to success. Imagine the difficulty of commuting to and from work, getting kids to school and childcare, or shopping for family necessities without access to reliable personal transportation.
Peninsula Family Service is leveling the playing field by offering affordable car loans to families who may not qualify for traditional credit. Loans can improve applicants’ chances of retaining a well-paying job, and set families on the road to self-sufficiency.
Loan requests are granted to hardworking parents with challenging credit histories who face transportation roadblocks which may interfere with their ability to maintain independence and stability. Loan amounts for the purchase of a pre-owned, reliable vehicle are offered at up to $8,000 for terms of 36 months or less, and at a low interest rate of 8%.
