Congratulations to our newest group of Senior Peer Counselor graduates!

Eight dedicated folks committed to a 9 week training program that covers basic counseling skills, self-awareness, substance abuse, understanding depression, building effective communication, sexuality, family systems, and county resources. Very shortly, these amazing volunteers will be matched with an older adult of a similar background and provide guidance with issues such as health concerns, mobility issues, transitions and life changes, care provider questions, and grief.

Peer Counseling is provided in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Tagalog. We also have counseling available to the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community.
