Cesar Escalante

Director of Family and Community Engagement

Cesar Escalante joined the Peninsula Family Service in 2022 as Program Director of Family and Community Engagement (FACE). He has demonstrated an unshakable passion and service to Family and Community Engagement in the Bay Area for over a decade. He comes from a bicultural background and holds a BA in Political Science from East Bay California State University, Hayward, an AA in Social Science and Liberal Arts from Laney College, Oakland. He has a family of five and has three daughters ages 16, 11 and 7 years old.Cesar joined the education system in 2010 as Family and Community Engagement in the Oakland Unified School District, then moved on to work for Aspire Public School as Behavior Coordinator, after that, went to work at KIPP Public Schools Northern California as Advocacy, Family and Community Engagement Manager. He has built a remarkable reputation with many stakeholders inclusive of superintendents, board of directors, district staff, schools staff, local community organizations, county and state elected officials.Cesar uses his invaluable experiences to help develop an equitable and accessible education system for all. He goes above and beyond to provide children and families the support and tools they need to thrive.
