To our Community, Partners, and Neighbors,
The coronavirus information is changing rapidly, and the health and safety of our community is our top priority. We have been closely monitoring the latest news of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and enacting proactive policies to keep our program participants healthy and reduce the chance of infection.
Under the guidance of the San Mateo and Santa Clara County Public Health Departments, as well as the CDC, we write to update you on the actions Peninsula Family Service is taking to lower the risk of exposure to our participants at all of our sites.
We are working to maintain a clean and healthy work environment. Our staff are being educated on best hygiene practices including increased hand washing, use of hand sanitizers, and practicing social distancing. We have enhanced our strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols by scheduling additional deep cleaning at all our sites, while we have been vigilantly disinfecting our high-traffic areas daily .
Our Early Learning, Financial Empowerment, and Older Adult Services programs are working individually to meet participant needs, while keeping staff and participants safe. Unfortunately, for now, we have paused our onsite volunteer program and are also not accepting any donations of clothing or other goods.
We are deeply committed to doing everything we can to protect and continue to serve our program participants, and our community, in the face of these rapidly changing circumstances.
To all in our community, our best wishes for good health at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Peninsula Family Service
