Freddy Pacheco

Director of Financial Empowerment Program

Freddy Pacheco, originally from La Paz, Bolivia, has called the Bay Area his home since the age of six, graduating at Menlo-Atherton High School, Foothill College, and later pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from San Jose State University.
After spending over ten years in the financial services sector, six of which were working in non-profit services. Freddy has always had a passion for helping families and individuals during challenging times. He was at the forefront of the recession from 2008 to 2013, working as a foreclosure prevention counselor for CCCS of San Francisco, later transitioning into a FinTech sector working for Lending Club, a progressive company offering a peer-to-peer lending platform, as a Credit Specialist.
Freddy began his journey with Peninsula Family Service in 2017, as a Financial Empowerment Coordinator, in-which shortly after he joined the management team. As the Financial Empowerment Manager, he oversees our vehicle loan program “DriveForward”, credit building program “Lending Circles”, and our financial education workshops.
Outside of work, Freddy enjoys spending time with his family; he is a lifelong member of the 49ers Faithful, and an avid dog enthusiast.
