In Loving Memory

smdj_article_1776425158908_1In late January, our community lost an amazing man. Harry Bilton Farmer–a Belmont resident, Bank of America Executive, and Navy submarine veteran–was a member of the very first Senior Peer Counselor graduating class in 1987. With his wife, Teresa, volunteering by his side, Harry dedicated nearly 25 years to our program and helped countless older adults navigate their advancing years. Harry’s encouragement prompted Teresa to help found La Esperanza Vive, the Spanish-speaking branch of Senior Peer Counseling.

Harry will live on in the hearts and minds of the client’s whose lives he touched, the peer counseling colleagues he befriended, and the Peninsula Family Service staff whom he inspired.
