For more than a decade, Kaiser Permanente has played an important role in the success of our Older Adult program. Today, we are proud to announce their continued generosity through an investment of $10,000 to support wellness and nutrition at our Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center.
Our partnership began in 2004 with a grant through Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit Program. As part of their mission to improve the health of their members, the organization shares resources and funding with nonprofits, community health centers, and public hospitals. Over the years, Kaiser Permanente has granted us more than $200,000, helping to expand, evaluate, and improve our programs at Fair Oaks.
Each year, more than 3,000 people visit our Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center in search of fun classes, tasty food, and the opportunity to make new friends. Together with funders like Kaiser Permanente, we offer classes such as yoga, tai chi, and line dancing, health screenings and check-ups, and nutritious meals, all at no cost to participants.
Thank you Kaiser Foundation Hospital for partnering with us to support older adults in our community!
