Peninsula Family Service (PFS) serves the most vulnerable individuals and families on the Peninsula, most of which have been greatly impacted during COVID Shelter in Place. Our neighbors are struggling more than ever because of job loss, food insecurity, lack of childcare, loneliness, isolation, and are unable to receive Federal aid. Watch NBC Bay Area news report below.

This week our community partner, Moms Against Poverty, generously donated 30 boxes of food for families supported by our child development centers. The boxes were organized for pick up by PFS staff, teachers, board members, and auxiliary members. Our staff used social distance protocols to deliver the boxes to our neediest families. Thank you Moms Against Poverty!

Our Early Learning program serves over 400 families per year and they need our help more than ever right now. “Ninety-seven percent of our families have lost jobs or hours and are really struggling,” Heather Cleary, the CEO of Peninsula Family Service. Our Financial Empowerment, Older Adult Services, and Early Learning programs support 12,000 people each year. Please make a donation today!

With your donation, PFS will distribute gift cards directly to the people we support to purchase food, diapers, clothing, or other essential needs.
