Recently, Pacific Union Real Estate awarded a generous grant to the Haven Family House in Menlo Park. We are thankful for this gift of hope, which will keep children and families safe and stable through housing, early learning and family support services.
The Haven Child Development Center is one of two child development centers dedicated to serving children whose families reside in emergency or transitional housing through LifeMoves. The center, a partnership between Peninsula Family Service and LifeMoves, is located at LiveMoves’ Haven House in Menlo Park.
The Center provides quality early learning opportunities for up to 18 children ages 18 months to five years. Haven House is focused on providing quality full-time care of children so parents can pursue efforts to become permanently housed. A small group size, a bright and clean environment, and low staff to child ratios provide a nurturing environment for children. We provide multiple services on site to help children and families overcome the past trauma associated with homelessness. A Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), as well as occupational therapy, and music and movement contributes to the supportive environment.
