Our Early Learning teachers and administrators have been a lifeline to the families we support. In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley, every Friday families are able to pick up boxes of food at our Midway Child Development Center in Daly City. Over 180 boxes are delivered and handed out by staff and volunteers. Our teachers have also gathered backpacks and school supplies for the children we support, as well as gift cards for essential needs, provided through the PFS COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
Moms Against Poverty (MAP), an international nonprofit, has generously donated hundreds of boxes of food to distribute to participants in need. Over the last few months, PFS staff and volunteers have organized contactless pick up days for families and people we support to pick up supplies and see friendly faces! Thank you MAP!
