Donating publicly-traded stock may provide better tax benefits than a traditional donation. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock and you avoid paying capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. You may also save on brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock.

Please download the Stock Transfer Form, follow instructions to formalize and execute your charitable gift, and be sure to fax or email the completed information to the contact provided. These steps will inform Peninsula Family Service of the donation, provide our broker the information needed to make the transfer and ensure you receive a prompt receipt of your gift for your tax records.

For more information or to submit your completed form, please contact Deborah Miller, Chief Advancement Officer, at 650-403-4300 ext. 4412 or dmiller@pfso.org.

To make a donation via credit card over the phone, a member of our Advancement Team will be happy to speak with you. Please call Maria Damp, Director of Donor Engagement, Major Gifts at 650-403-4300 ext. 4416.

We welcome corporations to invest in our programs which provide children, families, and older adults the support and tools to realize their full potential and lead healthy, stable lives.
